The history of the CigarWedge is a short one but one you can all relate to. The co-founders are two guys that play golf, who really enjoy a cigar or two while they are playing. When we had a cigar lit on the course, we faced all the same "smoking" challenges that you have. It's your turn to hit, so you throw your cigar on the ground. After you swing, you pick up your smoke and spend the next 10-15 seconds, wiping off the sand, grass, dirt and whatever 'crap' they spray on the grass to keep it healthy and green. Then you walk or ride to your ball and do it all over again.

Or, you light up your cigar and to avoid putting it on the ground, when you get out of the cart, you leave it on the floor of the cart, try and balance it on the beverage holder or you lay it between the windshield and the front of the cart (the golf course owners love the little burn marks you leave in the carts). How many of you have left your lit cigar somewhere on the cart and you or your partner have driven off...forgetting it was there (and having to run back and get it). And, if you are a 'leave it in the cart kind of guy', you can't enjoy your cigar on the walk across to the other side of the fairway on those 'Cart Path Only' days... you can't take it up to the tee box and you can't enjoy it on the green while you are waiting for your playing partners to putt because they are all outside you.
 
Well, my buddy and I were sitting in the bar have a beer after our round of golf and were talking about all those ridiculous things and thought it was crazy. So we brainstormed and began throwing out ideas to make it better and easier to hold your cigar. We saw what was out there and wanted to make a more useful and better looking cigar holder. We actually began to draw on 'the napkin'. We thought why bend over even more times during the round, to pick up your cigar. Let's make something that is hip level. That is why the CigarWedge is tall, so you don't have to bend down.  We wanted to be sure it was easy to carry and you could use it everywhere on the course. That is why it has a light but strong fiberglass shaft, with a point on the end, so it can be stuck in the ground anywhere you go on the course. Finally, we wanted it to look like it belongs on a golf course. That is why the 'head' of the CigarWedge, the part that actually holds your cigar, is shaped like a golf club. If looks and fits perfect in your golf bag.
